  • Deep Groove Ball Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • By far the most popular type of rolling bearing, these are rigid and non-separable radial bearings in which the balls run in deep grooves on both the inner and outer rings. Thus maintaining load capacity in both radial and axial directions. Single row deep grove ball bearings have a higher speed rating that any other type of ball or roller bearing. Most sizes now also available as double row deep groove ball bearings. Available open, sealed or shielded.

  • Angular Contact Ball Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • These are rigid and non-separable radial bearings especially suited to high-speed application which require both radial and thrust forces including combined loads and tilting motion. They can only accept thrust in one direction and thus must be used in pairs where a shaft adjustment is required in both directions. Available with varying degrees of "contact angle" - the greater the angle the higher the thrust load capacity. Also available in double row angular contact.

  • Self-Aligning Ball Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • Self-aligning ball bearings are non-separable double-row radial bearings in which both rows of balls can rotate in parallel within a spherical outer ring. Thus they can provide excellent compensation for misalignments (caused by mounting or machining errors) between the shaft and the housing.

  • Cylindrical Roller Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • These are rigid and non-separable (in the majority of cases) radial bearings. The possibility of using a particularly tight fit where the outer and inner rings are concerned makes these bearings especially suited for use in applications where vibrations or shock load are a regular occurrence. The radial loads and speed ratings are relatively higher in comparison to other roller bearings. Although primarily for radial loads these bearings can be purchased in several variations allowing them to accept limited amounts of axial load in one or both directions.

  • Taper Roller Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • These are separable radial bearings (i.e. the outer ring simply sits on the inner ring and can simply be lifted off). Taper roller bearings are only able to accept thrust in one direction and thus must be used in pairs where a shaft adjustment is required in both directions.

  • Spherical Roller Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • Rigid and non-separable, these are constructed using two rows of barrel-shaped rollers that rotate within a spherical outer ring. They provide excellent compensation for misalignments (caused by mounting or machining errors) and are typically used for heavy machinery. However, they can only be operated at low to medium speeds.

  • Thrust Ball Bearings
    • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
    • These are separable axial bearings that manufactured in both sinle and double direction-acting designs. To aid simple mounting or dismounting, the bearing washers, seatings, cage and assemblies may be individually mounted. Thrust ball bearings can accept comparatively high axial loads but they cannot be exposed to any radial forces. They are only suited for low to medium operating speeds and require minimum axial loads to achieve their optimum performance.
    • Needle Roller Bearings
      • Ming Dynasty (HK) Limited
      • Needle roller bearings are separable radial bearings with a high load-carrying ability. They are comparatively thin and thus well suited to applications where space is limited (e.g. gearboxes).
