SKF plans to spend about $84.6 million to increase capacity at its large and medium-size bearings plant in Dalian, China.
The Swedish bearings manufacturer said the move was prompted by increased demand in China and Asia from the renewable energy, metalworking, mining, construction and industrial transmission industries.
The project will add 25,000 square feet to the Dalian plant, doubling its capacity and taking the total number of workers employed there from 240 to 600.
